Artist's Statement: "The details of the Wedgwood plate are the main actors, and the other objects, such as my grandmother's brass incense burner, echo and reinforce their storyline of lust, fear and anger. The Rookwood rabbit echoes the mating scenes of the plate's border, bringing an element of the plate into the foreground. I intentionally left the top portion of the ancient tapestry fabric backdrop incomplete, to draw the focus down to the central composition."
